Ioannis (John) M. Nomikos (RIEAS Director) delivered a speech on “Counter-terrorism Challenges and Instability in Greece: Threats from Illegal Immigration, Organized Crime and Radicalization” as well as chaired the panel “Radicalism in National Environment” in the International Conference titled The Counter-terrorism Challenges in Region of South-Eastern Europe: Violent Extremism and Radicalization processes as driving factors to terrorism threats on West Balkans and security implications to Europe, organized by the Slovenian Ministry of Defence and the Joint Special Operations University (USA) on 22-24 May 2018 in Maribor, Slovenia.
