
Daniel Sánchez is a Senior Advisor in the Research Institute for European and American Studies (RIEAS) based in Athens, Greece. He is an international executive and business leader with over 20 years of professional experience spanning government, security, criminal investigation, international cooperation, strategic partnerships, business development and market expansion, with a particular focus on the Middle East, Europe and South America.
He spent 19 years working within the public sector, holding positions in security, criminal investigation, cybersecurity, international cooperation and institutional relations. During this period, he developed extensive experience operating within complex governmental environments and working on international cooperation and cross-border institutional matters.
Following his public-sector career, Daniel transitioned into the private sector, where he has developed a strong track record in executive leadership, international business development, strategic investments, government relations and market-entry strategy.
He is currently Partner and Managing Director of Green Rock Gulf Group; a strategic business and investment platform focused on helping international companies develop and execute market-entry and expansion strategies into the Middle East and other strategic international markets. His work involves identifying commercial opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, navigating complex stakeholder environments and connecting international companies with relevant institutional, corporate and investment ecosystems.
Previously, Daniel served as CEO of GCC Capital Partners, a company focused on market entry and business development in the Middle East, supporting international companies seeking to establish commercial operations and strategic relationships in the region. Through both GCC Capital Partners and Green Rock Gulf Group, he has worked with and cooperated with different government ministries, public institutions, government-related entities, family offices and major corporate stakeholders across the Middle East and other international markets. He has also been involved with the Federation of Saudi Chambers, contributing to business and institutional engagement within the Saudi market.
Throughout his private-sector career, Daniel has led and structured international business initiatives involving strategic partnerships, investment operations, market-entry strategies and cross-border ventures across sectors including technology, real estate, retail, sports and international services. His experience includes working with major international organizations and brands, including FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, DIR, MotoGP, Formula 1, Hotel Arts and W Barcelona, as well as multinational companies, family offices and institutional stakeholders across the GCC.
His combined experience of 19 years in government and security, together with extensive executive experience in the private sector, provides him with a distinctive understanding of both institutional and commercial environments.
