Evangelia Akritidou is a Senior Research Analyst at the Research Institute for European and American Studies (RIEAS). She is a Middle East Specialist and Counter-Terrorism expert with an emphasis on Israel and its relations with Greece, Cyprus, and the Eastern Mediterranean region.
Born in Athens, Greece, Evangelia holds an M.A. in Security & Diplomacy from Tel Aviv University, where she specialized in strategic doctrines, intelligence, war studies and the Arab-Israeli Conflict. During her studies, she served as a Research Intern at the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS) in Tel Aviv, collaborating with leading Israeli security experts on geopolitical dynamics, regional alliances, and energy security. Evangelia also holds a B.Sc. in Tourism Management from the University of West Attica.
Evangelia’s professional background includes working in luxury five-star hotels in Greece and Italy, where she developed her organizational and interpersonal skills in high-pressure environments.
Evangelia is committed to advancing dialogue and understanding in a region defined by both its challenges and opportunities. Her work seeks to bridge the gap between scholarly research and actionable policy, contributing meaningfully to the future of Mediterranean stability.
She is fluent in Greek and English, with working proficiency in Hebrew, French and Italian.
