Ioannis (John) M. Nomikos (RIEAS Director) attended Janek Maggi (Minister of Public Administration, Republic of Estonia) speech on “Digital Identity the once-only-principle and reducing administrative burden. Good practice from member state experience” in Integrating Greece into the European Semester Policy Framework workshop organized by the European Commission office in Athens in collaboration with Foundation for Economic and Industrial Research (IOBE) on 20 March 2019 in Athens, Greece.
Ioannis (John) M. Nomikos (RIEAS Director) delivered a speech on “Hybrid Warfare in the Eastern Mediterranean” at a panel titled Hybrid and Cyber Warfare – International Problems and Joint Solutions Suggestions at Zagreb Security Forum 2019 on Recognizing and Facing Emerging Hybrid and Cyber Challenges – Making Society and Critical Infrastructure Resilient on 15-16 March 2019 in Zagreb, Croatia.
Ioannis (John) M. Nomikos (RIEAS Director) participated in a security seminar titled “Awareness of tourism operators in safety matters”, organized by Hellenic Police and British security experts on 17 January 2019 in Athens, Greece.
Ioannis (John) M. Nomikos (RIEAS Director) attended the following panels: “South East Europe: The Regional Stability Challenge” and “Mobilizing Diaspora to Promote Homeland” on February 28-March 3, 2019 in the European Cultural Centre, Delphi, Athens, Greece.
Ioannis (John) M. Nomikos (RIEAS Director) as well as RIEAS research scholars attended the lecture by Dr. George Sigounas, Administrator, Health Resources and Services Administration at U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Dr. George Sigounas lectured on “The High Healthcare Targets in the United States: Health Services for Vulnerable and Underserved Populations,” organized by the Biomedical Research Foundations of the Academy of Athens (BRFAA) on 19th of February 2019 in Athens, Greece. Many academicians from public and private universities, senior military officers from the Ministry of Defense, journalists, and medical research scholars attended the outstanding lecture by Dr. George Sigounas. 
Ioannis (John) M. Nomikos delivered a speech in a round table discussion on “security as an independent scientific discipline: the Greek perspective” at the Center for National and International Security, on 4th December 2018 in Belgrade, Serbia.
Ioannis (John) M. Nomikos delivered a speech on “Counter Terrorism Challenges in Greece: Threats from Human Trafficking, Migration and Radicalization”, in the security and crisis management international conference – ATHENA 2018 – Turning risk into opportunity: An efficient crisis management”, organized by the Hellenic National Defense General Staff, Ministry of Defense, on 13-15 November 2018 in the Dekelia Air Base, Athens, Greece.

Nomikos (RIEAS Director) delivered a speech on” Restructuring of Greek Security and Intelligence Community: An Introduction” in an International Conference titled - Security and Societal Resilience in the 21st Century: New Challenges - organized by the Research Institute for European and American Studies (RIEAS) and Sofia Nikolaou & Partners Law Firm on 27th September 2018 in Athens, Greece.
Daniel Little (RIEAS Senior Advisor) delivered a speech on “The Relationship Between Terrorism and Organized Crime” in a Conference on Serious Games at George Mason University Sciences and Technology Campus (July 10-12, 2018) hosted by Virginia Serious Games Institute (VSGI), USA. 
Dr. Andrew Liaropoulos (RIEAS Senior Analyst) presented a paper titled “The Uses and Limits of Cyber Coercion” at the 17th European Conference on Cyber Warfare and Security, organized by the University of Oslo, Norway, 28-29 June 2018.
Ioannis (John) M. Nomikos (RIEAS Director) delivered a presentation on “Reforms, International Collaboration and Intelligence Studies: the Greek Perspective” in an International Conference on “International collaboration regarding intelligence services and intelligence studies, organized by the Belgian Intelligence Studies Centre (BISC) on 29 June 2018 in Brussels, Belgium.
