This monumental amendment marks the most significant piece of legislation for U.S. and India relations out of Congress since the U.S. and India nuclear deal
Washington, D.C. — Today, the House passed a historic amendment authored by Rep Ro Khanna (D-CA), Congressional India Caucus Vice Chair and Member of the House Armed Services Committee, to strengthen the U.S.-India defense partnership.
The Khanna amendment will affirm the United States’ partnership with India and urge the Biden administration to use their authority to provide India with a CAASTA waiver to help deter aggressors like China. It was passed by voice vote as part of an en bloc amendment during floor consideration of the National Defense Reauthorization Act (NDAA).: Read more

I decided to contribute this analysis because I wish to have your swift seize going back to Russia and Ukraine war topic. We're almost three months into this war and I continue to be very pessimistic about where we are heading.

Over the last few weeks, the biggest headline, I think, has been the sinking of the Moskva and recapturing of Kharkov and opening of diplomacy as Indian Embassy will start working from 17th of this month. China is far ahead in consumption and sourcing for future stock amid crisis during conflict in South China sea. On the other hand, to boost economy Russia is now closing big LNG deals with China. We can observe this by sustained Chinese demand even amid ramp-up of pipeline gas to China from Russia’s ‘Power of Siberia’. Introduction

Maritime Diplomacy is the management of international relations by a nation through the activities in oceanic waters, primarily aimed at deploying its navy, coast guards or other maritime constabulary, thus taking the leverage of the Sea Power for gaining favourable diplomatic outcomes in alignment with the foreign and defence policies of a nation. It is an orchestration of sea power with the forces at the nation’s disposal to send signals to friendly, non-friendly and neutral countries about the intent of the nation backed up by its economic and military capacity and capability to the extent it can seamlessly employ all its instruments of power.

Maritime diplomacy encompasses a spectrum of activities to pursue the national interests that may be to safeguard and protect its territorial waters or play a bigger role in the dynamics of the regional or global balance of power.
