Frontex publicized its Risk Analysis for 2016
The report mentioned three "choke-points": the maritime border between Turkey and Greece, the Central Mediterranean border and, as a consequence of the entry through Greece, the border with Western Balkan countries.

Greeks view refugees as "a threat"
According to a Kapa Research opinion poll, 3 out of 4 Greeks have a negative view of the government's handling of the refugee issue. Moreover, 45.2% of Greeks consider the presence of refugees in the country as "a threat" while only 30.6% consider it as "an opportunity".

The European Commission found that good progress has been made to operationalise the Statement.

Greeks' stance towards refugees hardens
A "Public Issue" opinion poll showed that more and more Greeks view the refugee issue in a negative light and the absolute majority (65%) believe that the refugees will not be able to integrate in Greek society.

Legalization through the back door?
The Parliament voted for the introduction of obligatory social security for immigrants without residence permits who work in agriculture. In essence, this is a first step towards ex-post facto legalization.
