Refugee status was granted only to 2,986 cases in 2016
According to Asylum Service data refugee status was granted to 2,711 cases in the first degree and to 275 cases in the second degree during 2016 (compared to 4,469 in total in 2015).

FRONTEX publicized the 2017 Risk Analysis
The Analysis noted that most migrants arrived in Italy and Greece, with each country reporting roughly 180,000 new arrivals.

Vast majority of Greeks are negative towards Muslim immigrants
According to a National Center for Social Research survey 8 out of 10 Greeks expressed reservations towards Muslim immigrants.
