Introduction

Of late, extreme right-wing terrorism has become alarmingly a matter of grave concern in several states, primarily the western nations. The United States, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Bulgaria, Poland in the Western hemisphere and Australia and New Zealand in the Southern hemisphere have witnessed the growing threat of right-wing extremists' violence coupled with propaganda to propagate and establish their beliefs. On 26/05/2023, Al-Shabaab militants attacked a Forward Operating Base (FOB) of the Ugandan Army in Bulo Marer, Somalia. The Ugandan troops stationed there were part of the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS).
According to released footage by Al-Shabab's media arm, Al Kataib Foundation, the military base was overrun. At least 2 T55 Main Battle Tanks of the Ugandan Army were destroyed while the garrison suffered a large amount casualty in KIA and WIA.... Read more
